Our roots on the South Florida waterfront began over 30 years ago. Before the current evolution of our company, the groundwork was laid at the very inception of the modern boat lift industry. As early partners in the development and rise of Neptune Boat Lifts, the brand’s expertise was built on the precision engineering required to keep a vessel secure.
In 2013, that experience led to the founding of Yacht Lifters Inc. For years, the company operated as a specialist focused on lift installations. However, a major shift occurred as we recognized a recurring void in the industry—a lack of contractors who truly owned the entire process from the ground up.
The turning point came around 2019. Under new leadership and a redefined vision, we realized that to guarantee a perfect result, we could no longer rely on outside interests. We found that the broader market of marine contractors, pile installers, and waterfront “handymen” often lacked the communication, honesty, and reliability that a high-end property demands.
Worse yet, many operators were—and still are—performing complex structural work without the proper specialized licenses and insurance required for over-the-water work. At YL Marine, we have always maintained the essential coverage—including USL&H, Workers’ Comp, and General Liability—to ensure our clients are never exposed to the risks of an under-insured job site.
To set a different standard, we took total control. We moved away from the original model and began investing heavily in our own specialized barges, cranes, and heavy equipment.
